Power / Pressure Washing

Power washing is the application of high pressure water spray. The results can be astonishing and well worth the investment. The value of a home can be increased by several thousand dollars with proper power washing, staining and sealing of badly weathered siding and decking.

Power / Pressure Washing

Power / Pressure Washing

Power washing may look simple, but it isn’t. Residential quality power washers can be ineffective and a waste of time. A commercial quality power washer in the hands of an inexperienced person can result in visible and permanent damage to the wood. High pressure water can cut through and damage many surfaces instantly. An inexperienced person can literally carve wood with a 3000 psi pressure washer. Many homeowners have permanently damaged their siding and decks in this manner.

Proper and effective pressure washing requires experience. The proper balance of bleach and detergent solution, commercial grade, high quality equipment, and experience is necessary to achieve beautiful, long-lasting results.

Exterior Painting and Staining

Nothing gives your home a fresh new look quite like painting or staining. You can change the color, improve the appearance, and protect your home from the elements. A new coat of paint or stain also adds value. Mark will take time to meet with you, ask questions, and address all issues. He will do a thorough evaluation of your project, and discuss with you the available options.

What many people don’t know is that the most important part of any paint job is the surface preparation. If the surface preparation is done poorly or incorrectly, the end result will not look ideal and the longevity of the application will be greatly affected. Unlike many painting contractors, Prime Coat takes the time to properly prepare the surface. Depending on the condition of the wood, this can take just as long as application of the product. Mark will thoroughly power wash the entire exterior surface, scrape and sand any problem areas, sand the entire project when necessary, and seal cracks, holes, and any other problem areas. Customers are amazed at the “before” and “after” of proper surface preparation.

All areas that will not be painted are then covered and the application process starts. In most instances, the product is sprayed on and back brushed. Window trim, fascia board, etc. is brushed. All our equipment is commercial quality, and only premium products are recommended to ensure the best possible result.

Deck Staining / Finishing and Maintenance

As with exterior painting and staining, the most important part of finishing a deck is the surface preparation. If the surface prep work is done poorly or incorrectly, the end result will not look ideal and the longevity of the application will be greatly affected. Prime Coat takes the time to properly prepare the surface. Mark will thoroughly power wash the entire surface to remove mold and gray, and return the deck planks to like-new condition. He will sand any problem areas or sand the entire deck when necessary.

The stain or finish product is then sprayed on and back-brushed. Deck railings and spindles are brushed.

Interior Painting

My attention to detail and ability to create crisp, sharp lines guarantees you the perfect paint job. I am proud of my work and look forward to working with you.

  • Consultation: I will gladly offer input and advice regarding the finish and type of paint that should be used, including painting samples. You will choose your color. If you would like to replicate a color already on your wall, you can use an old can of paint for reference, or we can discuss taking a chip to the paint store for color matching.
  • Prepare the room: I take every care to protect your furnishings and decorations, but before I get started, you should remove all pictures, wall hangings, and precious/breakable items from the room.
  • Preliminary walk-through: Collaborating with you to ensure that you get exactly the room you envision is important to me. I will do a thorough walk-through with you before the project begins to confirm exactly what you want and how you want it.
  • Protect furniture: I will cover the furniture and flooring with drop cloths and plastic.
  • Ensure optimal surface for adhesion: Paint needs to be applied to smooth, prepped surfaces to make sure it adheres well and looks great for years to come. As part of my preparatory process, I will remove all electrical faceplates, scrape or sand rough areas, and caulk/putty holes to guarantee that your investment lasts for years.
  • Paint, the right way: My professional process of painting your walls relies on only high-quality products and on my years of experience and practice.
  • Finishing touches: I thoroughly clean-up after the project is completed and conduct my own final inspection.
  • Final walk-through: I then invite you to join me on a final walk-through where we can address any final questions or concerns and ensure that you are completely satisfied.

I use and recommend only the best brands in the business!
